Clock Repair

Keeper of Time services many types of clocks from around the world including carriage clocks, tall case clocks, clocks with platform escapements, and much more. Most clocks will run long after the lubrication inside has dried up, leading to wear throughout the movement. This is remedied with a Clean, Oil, and Adjustment (COA) service. The clock is fully dismantled, new bushings are installed, all parts are checked for wear, and then cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner. The clock is then re-assembled, lubricated, and adjusted to keep time to factory standards. All COA services include a case cleaning, though Keeper of Time does not offer case restoration currently.

It is sometimes necessary to replace worn or otherwise damaged parts. The cost for such replacements is generally noted in the original estimate, but can go undetected until the clock has been fully dismantled. Should additional parts or labor be necessary that changes the value of the job by more than 20%, the customer will be contacted prior to the continuation of the job.
